LIGHTS OUT MACHINING CAPABILITIES AT OUR HEBRON, KY FACILITY

LOGOMAT took a major step in vertical integration in the fall of 2024. With the addition of a new building, the space needed for adding machining capabilities was finally available. After moving our existing machine shop to the new building, and clearing more space for assembly in our main building, we have added a state-of-the-art milling center.

The new milling center has many added features, increasing our capabilities for machining complex parts in-house, but also for allowing us to manufacture “lights out.” The machine is a 5-axis Mazak milling center with upgrades such as automatic pallet/fixture exchange for batch production, 120 piece tool magazine, BIG Plus spindle, Schunk KSP vices, high pressure coolant, secondary filtration, and more. We have also paired it with a BMO robot feeder and magazine, which allows us to set up multiple trays of pre-cut material which will then be autonomously loaded into the machine, and then set back into the trays as finished parts. With this new capability and lights-out manufacturing, we have brought many of our machined parts back in-house, which will help us to keep our costs down in this environment of ever raising prices.
